Should You Buy Resveratrol Supplements?
Thursday, April 16th, 2009It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn’t either! You know the sort of person I’m referring to, someone who will raid the refrigerator and eat all the leftovers, no matter what they are. They spot the sugary treat, the heart starts pounding, its snatched up and wolfed down. Well, you are one of a growing number that like this type of instant pleasure only acquired by eating you really should start considering health supplements. Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound found in grapes, red wine, purple grape juice, peanuts, and some berries.
That may sound rather far fetched but many people do this but I would always warn against such irresponsible behavior. Maybe you need to think about the danger you are facing long term and start taking some health supplements instead. These supplements often give you far more than you realize short term and long term. I always get angry when people tell me that they hate the stuff, and yet they’ve never tried it!
There are thousands of different types so I would suggest you try a few before you make a comment. You see, the health supplements I’m talking about are of the powdered variety; like chocolate or banana flavor that contains essential minerals. I have been taking some form of food supplement for years now including a good multivitamin that contains more essential vitamins than I can remember. There is absolutely no reason why everyone couldn’t take a supplement of some kind everyday.
The other health supplement I take is called whey protein, you may have heard of it; I take it as a flavored shake. Not only does it taste fantastic (try it yourself and see), it is full of good protein. I prefer to drink it in the morning but you can have it anytime of the day. And guess what, the shake also provides you with a full 30 grams of protein which is good for healthy muscles.
The thing about new-age health supplements is that they’re really geared to give you all the good stuff and keep out the bad. Things that you are warned about consuming too much of like saturated fats, cholesterol, salt and sugar, to name a few, aren’t in them. I would suggest you have a look on the internet to see what health supplements are on offer, try them for a while and just see how good you feel.
